The process is easy. You just need to share your referral link with your friends via email or social media and they need to open a Tello account. Once they've placed a successful order, they get ⁦$10⁩ Tello Dollars. You’ll also receive ⁦$10⁩⁩ Tello Dollars once your friends have been with Tello for 3 months.

How can I use my Tello Dollars?

Your Tello Dollars can be used to make a purchase (Plan, Pay As You Go credit, Data Add-ons, phones, Scam Guard) once the amount of Tello Dollars is enough to pay for the entire invoice. No partial payments are allowed at the moment.
Therefore, only if you have enough Tello Dollars to cover the full cost of the purchase you wish to make, once you are on the "Checkout" page, under "Payment Methods" you will have 3 available options to pay with:

Credit/Debit Card
Paypal Account
Tello Dollars

You then choose the "Tello Dollars" option and proceed with the payment.
Please note:

the total amount of the order (the full cost) can not exceed the amount of your Tello Dollars, as we do not accept partial payments. If that is the case the "Tello Dollars" option will not be available in your account.
you can not create a new line on Tello.com using Tello Dollars as a payment method.

Can I put a monetary value on the Tello Dollars?

The Tello Dollars do not have a direct monetary value. Each Tello Dollar is equivalent to $1 account credit on Tello Mobile. The credit can be used to pay for the entire phone bill or to buy a phone.

To check your Tello Dollars balance, simply log in to your online account and click on the Referral Program section.

Do Tello Dollars expire?

Your Tello Dollars will expire if no order is registered in your account in the last 6 months.

Can I transfer my Tello Dollars to another account?

Accepted Answer

No, Tello Dollars cannot be transferred to other accounts. However, if you have a family plan, you will have a common Tello Dollars balance for all your lines.
Still, you won't be able to create a new line using Tello Dollars as a payment method.

Do I get Tello Dollars if I just tell a friend about you?

No. Your friend must open a Tello account using your referral link in order for you both to win Tello Dollars. You can share your referral link directly from your Dashboard.
The Tello Dollars will appear in your account after your friend places his/her first successful order.

My Tello Dollars from referring a friend were not added. Why?

Tello Mobile checks the validity of all referral orders. A referral order will be deemed invalid if:

The new account was created with a second email address of the same person.
A customer already exists in our database according to company criteria.
The customer sharing the referral link no longer uses the service (no call, no SMS, no Data usage, no order in the past 6 months)

To use a coupon or promo code on your Tello account, follow these steps:

Log into your Tello online account.
Choose a plan or product, and proceed to Checkout.
Enter your coupon or promo code in the designated field or select it from the dropdown if available.
The discount will be applied automatically to your purchase or plan.
Complete your purchase or plan update.
